Choosing PvE, PvP Or Mixed Rules

Soulmask servers can be set up as cooperative PvE worlds, open PvP battlegrounds, or something in between with scheduled raid windows. The decision shapes everything else you configure, from base damage and item loss to how fast resources respawn for a smaller tribe.

Because the settings live in server configuration files rather than a fixed package, you are free to change direction. Groups often start on PvE while learning mask abilities and proficiency systems, then enable PvP once bases are established and everyone has a stable roster of captured tribesmen.

Tuning Soulmask Server Settings

Harvest rates, experience gain, follower limits, decay timers and the server name are all edited through the panel file manager, with the live console showing exactly what the server loaded on the next boot. Nothing is locked behind a support request.

The task scheduler is useful here too. Schedule a nightly restart to keep long-running simulations light, pair it with automatic daily backups across ten rolling slots, and you can experiment with aggressive multipliers knowing yesterday's world is one restore away.

Hardware For Tribes And Followers

What makes Soulmask heavier than a typical survival game is the number of NPCs doing work. Each captured tribesman crafts, farms or patrols on the server's clock, so a world with several developed camps is doing far more simulation than the player count suggests.

For that reason we suggest 6 GB for a private tribe, the 8 GB tier for a twenty-player PvE community, and 24 GB with five cores where dozens of tribes run large operations. All tiers include unmetered ports, databases and NVMe storage, plus 24/7 support through the client portal and Discord.

Soulmask hosting FAQ

Still unsure? Ask our team.

Six GB at $15.00 per month is enough for a private tribe of six to eight players. Busier PvE worlds do best on the 8 GB tier with four cores, and heavily populated PvP servers with many developed camps should look at 12 GB or 24 GB, where five cores are available.
