3 GB fits a small founding party, 6 GB suits eight to twelve settlers with a developed town and outlying farms, and 16 GB gives a large public province room to keep expanding.
A Romestead settlement stores every placed building, worked field and stockpiled resource in the host's world data, so persistence leans on unmetered NVMe storage and roomy DDR5 ECC memory as the town spreads.
Settlement Founded Fast
Checkout triggers automated provisioning, so the first survey of your building site happens minutes later, not after a ticket queue.

ABOUT ROMESTEAD HOSTING
A Settlement That Stays Built
The appeal of a dedicated Romestead server is continuity. Instead of a world that only exists while one person hosts, the settlement, its stores and the landscape you reshaped sit on hardware that stays powered on, ready whenever anyone logs in. That also means the group is no longer tied to one player's schedule or home connection, and ping is set by our location choice rather than a residential upload link.
Managing Server Files And Rules
Every server here ships with the full FSH game panel, so configuration is self-service. Open the file manager to edit server name, password, player rules and save behavior, or connect over SFTP to move world data in and out. The live console shows startup output when a setting is wrong, the task scheduler can restart the server before peak hours, and network tools let you use more of the 10 port allocations included on every plan.
Protecting Long Building Projects
A Roman town is weeks of work, which makes restore points more valuable than any other feature. Automatic daily backups keep 10 rolling slots, and manual snapshots take seconds before you try something disruptive such as a version change or a large terraforming project. Our published SLA at /legal/sla targets 99.9% monthly uptime, and 24/7 support is reachable through the client portal, Discord or email if something needs a second pair of eyes.

Common questions about running a Romestead server with us.
Small groups start comfortably on 3 GB at $7.50 a month. As the settlement grows and more structures, stored goods and worked terrain accumulate, 6 GB gives noticeably more headroom. RAM is billed at a flat $2.50 per gigabyte, so moving from 6 GB to 8 GB costs $5.00 more and keeps your existing world intact.
Yes. That is the main reason to rent a server rather than host from your own machine. The world lives on our hardware and is reachable whenever players connect, with automatic daily backups keeping 10 rolling restore points. The published SLA at /legal/sla sets a 99.9% monthly uptime target for the server itself.
We do not sell or cap player slots, so the number of players is limited only by what the game build and your chosen RAM tier support comfortably. Larger groups simulate more activity at once, so a 6 GB or 8 GB plan is the sensible choice for a public settlement rather than the entry tier.
Full file access is included on every plan. Use the browser-based file manager for quick edits and small transfers, or SFTP for whole directories, and pull a copy of the world down whenever you want an offline archive. Unmetered NVMe storage means you are not deleting old saves to make room for new ones.
Choose the one nearest the middle of your player base. We run 9 game-server locations: Miami, Dallas, New York City, San Jose, Ashburn, Salt Lake City, Toronto, Brussels and Frankfurt. Dallas and Ashburn suit mixed North American groups, Frankfurt or Brussels serve Europe, and Toronto is a good fit for the northeast.
