A Few Thoughts On Using A SEO Reseller

I must admit to being a bit of a serial entrepreneur. Actually, I think that’s the career I’ve been bred for. It just took me forty plus years to figure it out. When I say serial entrepreneur, I’m referring to someone that enjoys figuring out how to start a new business, but who get’s incredibly bored running the business. Usually buy the time I get the business running, I’m ready to either outsource, or sell the business off, and move on to the next business. I like the challenge of figuring out new ways of making money. Preferably ones the no one else has done, or models that now one else has done well enough to turn a profit. To me, that’s the challenge. I figure, any monkey can run a business once it’s up and going. And, I ain’t no monkey.

So, I either keep the business, and outsource all the day to day running of it, or I sell it off outright. Now if the company is turning a decent profit, and I see that profit increasing because it’s a simple to model, then it makes a lot of sense to outsource. I like competing in the internet arena, but I really hate doing the day to day tasks involved in staying competitive there. So, that’s where a good SEO reseller can be a godsend. They know and understand all the mundane tasks involved in getting the work done, and they have the resources and staff to make it happen. For me, it’s a perfect fit. I can see my company profit grow, while I can free up some time for the next big thing.

Doing My Own Logo Design Was Not A Good Experience

I don’t know why, but for some reason I fancy myself a bit of a graphics artist, even though I have no formal training in the discipline. It think it’s just one of those careers that always sounded cool to me, and I wish I had taken it up at a younger point in my career when maybe I could have gotten better at it. It sits right up there on my wanna-be career list with computer games designer, marine biologist, rock star and professional beach bum. Seriously, wouldn’t those be great jobs. I’m still holding out hope for the professional beach bum, but my finances are not supporting my aspirations at the moment.

Anyway, all kidding aside, let’s get back to the title here, which was being my own logo designer. I have a few websites and I figure doing logo design can’t be all that difficult since it’s only a little graphic. It’s not like I’m trying to render a 3d graphics scene with Maya or anything. Any, as it turns out doing even the simplest of graphics can be tough if you don’t have a sound understanding of the basic principals. And don’t get me wrong here, understanding design principals doesn’t mean you have the entire menu of Adobe Photoshop memorized, and can recite the manual forward and backwards. Basically, if you understand the principals you can do an amazing logo design with a pencil and paper. Well, maybe a few colored pencils would work better. So, my lesson has been learned, time to go looking for a good logo designer.
